MANAGEMENT AND NON-MANAGEMENT UNITS

Policy:

Hamilton Junior High School will distribute management and non-management units according to the operational requirements and special character of the school.

Procedures:

         i.            The Principal will plan to allocate units to reflect the School Management and the needs of the Strategic plan.

ii.            Following the directions laid out in the 1989 Education Amendment Act (Section 76) the Principal will review management structures of Hamilton Junior High School and provide the Board of Trustees with a full report.

iii.            Annually the Principal shall foreshadow the number of units expected to be available by the end of each year for the following year, as based on the GMFS of the previous year and the enrolment indications.

iv.            The Principal will call for expressions of interest for MU’s. All submissions will be carefully considered and should align to the strategic direction of the school.

       v.            Where there is concern that the number of units available does not match predictions because of roll fluctuations, allocations of some units may be held back until after the March 1st return of the following year.

Review
